Promising Furniture World is a family-run workshop on Ngong Road in Nairobi, Kenya, building heirloom-quality furniture by hand from solid East African hardwoods. We do not use veneers, chipboard, or MDF. Every piece is constructed from full-thickness mahogany, mvule, cedar, and other locally-milled hardwoods, joined with traditional mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joinery and finished by hand to bring out the natural grain.
We make dining sets, living-room sofas and sectionals, bedroom suites, wardrobes, sideboards, coffee tables, office desks, bookshelves, blanket chests, kids' furniture, outdoor garden furniture, and bespoke pieces built to your dimensions. Every collection is grouped on our Collections page; each piece lists its wood, dimensions, and starting price in Kenyan shillings.
